Dimensional checks
Verification of critical dimensions to ensure component functionality. We use contact measurement systems (Mitutoyo CNC CMM) and non-contact measurement systems with optical and laser technology (OGP Hommel). The measurement results are processed for statistical analysis in order to guarantee the required quality standards.
Dimensional checks are used to verify that a component has been manufactured correctly, in compliance with dimensions and tolerances, thus ensuring quality, functionality and interchangeability.
The following are checked:
- linear measurements (lengths, diameters, thicknesses).
- shapes and geometries (flatness, roundness, concentricity).
- roughness or surface finishes.
- dimensional and geometric tolerances.
Mechanical tests
Tests to verify the resistance under stress of critical components. The purpose of the tests is to:
- verify the resistance and rigidity of the component.
- determine deformation or breakage limits.
- check the quality of the material.
- guarantee the safety and reliability of the product.
The main types of mechanical tests are:
- Tensile test
- Hardness test
- Compression test
Colour control
Colour measurement with a spectrophotometer and control with visual reference sample plates to ensure uniform colours across multiple productions and different components.
Verify assembly
Checks with assembly tests or with special templates or other samples belonging to the finished product to ensure its assemblability during the assembly phases.
Finalised product documentation
This includes all information provided by the customer, which is collected and transmitted in a clear and usable format to line operators.
In particular, the criticality of the product is identified so that the operator is notified in advance if it is a complex part to check.
Then the ancillary processes, packaging instructions and the types and frequencies of checks that the product requires are entered, also in consultation with the customer.
Complaints management
Customer reports are collected, problems identified and solutions found to resolve the issue and ensure continuous improvement. Every customer report is received, analysed and transformed into an opportunity for improvement.
The process is structured as follows: we record the complaint, assess its severity and analyse the cause of the problem to understand whether it is an isolated case or a wider issue. We then define the most appropriate corrective actions, applying our quality tools.
Throughout the process, we keep the customer constantly informed, communicating the results of the assessment and the solutions adopted within a set time frame.
Once resolved, the complaint is formally closed and all documentation is archived to ensure full traceability.
We periodically analyse the data collected to identify recurring trends and feed into our continuous improvement process.
Tool management (company metrology)
We guarantee the reliability of every measurement through a comprehensive control system for all the instruments used: calipers, micrometers, three-dimensional measuring machines, optics, spectrophotometers and more.
Each instrument is recorded in a computerised register with a unique identification code. We periodically calibrate all instruments, comparing them with certified samples to verify that their accuracy falls within the required tolerances.
Between calibrations, we carry out intermediate checks to ensure that there is no damage or drift, performing routine or extraordinary maintenance when necessary.
All documentation – calibration certificates, schedules, usage and maintenance records – is managed digitally to ensure complete historical traceability.
We plan calibration frequencies based on the criticality of each instrument in the production process, ensuring that measurements are always reliable and accurate.
