1969
The foundations
Ivoplast was founded in 1969 as a small workshop with three presses in a 450 m² warehouse.
In the early 1970s, it doubled its floor space and became a limited liability company, embarking on a period of structured growth.
From the outset, the management’s vision was clear: to produce high-quality, precision-engineered plastic technical components.
1980
Production growth
With 25 presses and a new 1,800 m² factory, Ivoplast expands and strengthens its position.
By the end of the decade, the company has 35 presses and a further 3,000 m² production facility is inaugurated.
It enters the household appliance sector with mass production and signs its first European innovation: a 2.5 kg piece in transparent PMMA.
1990
Technology and design
In 1996, a 1,400-tonne press and a new 3,500 m² factory were added.
Ivoplast produced its first plastic chair for the furniture industry, paving the way for large-scale industrial design.
2000
Complete industrialisation
Between 2004 and 2007, Ivoplast accelerated its growth:
- over 100 employees
- new production lines
- 14,000 square metres of total expansion
- 50 active presses, up to 2,000 tonnes of clamping force
The R&D team was created. Thanks to new software, the company was able to integrate the 3D product design phase. The first MOLD FLOW simulations also took hold.
It was during this period that the first 5 kg transparent polycarbonate chairs (a world first), the first bi-material seats and innovative automotive components filled with nitrogen gas were created.

Automation and sustainability
From 2024, all production will be powered by 100% renewable energy sources.
In 2025, Ivoplast will achieve:
- 24,000 square metres of covered space
- 60 presses from 40 to 2,000 tonnes (single and double injection)
- automated production lines complete with robots
- 25% of the machine fleet will be fully electric
- 115 employees
- Cutting-edge R&D and software team
- Over 400 million pieces produced during the year
